dealProxy Features

You can check out the live site by clicking a link in the menu above, but here are some screenshots showing a subset of the functionality of the dealProxy.

The main screen of the site -- showing the Deal Categories found and the number of deals within those categories. Note that the deals indicated are based on user preferences (limiting distance, category and if the deal is active or how soon until active):

In this case, deals were found matching the current settings, in three categories and for a total of 47 deals:

But, let's say you knew you wanted a deal that involved 'pizza' -- so you could click the search button (the magnifying glass) to get more refined results:

Theoretically we could get 'pizza' under a variety of categories, but we want to check it out under food:

Instead of showing you a pizza deal, I am switching gears to some other Italian food. Once you click on a particular deal in the list, you see the deal's detail -- this is one for some Veal Scaloppini:

The deal detail shows the name of the merchant:

It shows the deal title and details:

It shows a deal score -- users can rate deals posting, voting them up or down:

If entered, the deal can also show a picture taken of the deal -- for example a sign in the restaurant:

The detail also shows when the deal started and when it will end:

A logo for the merchant and a picture of the establishment can be uploaded as well:

Links to the merchant website and review pages can be entered:

A map is displayed, that when clicked, will take you to your phone's GPS:

And finally, if the user decides that they don't want to see any more deals from this merchant, for whatever reason, they can block them from showing up in the future:

Back to the main screen... The icons allow the user to quickly refresh results, search results, enter a deal they saw so that others know about it on the site, manually enter a location to search (versus your current location), and to login or logout:

The screen also lets you know what the current search parameters are based on your profile:

There are also some common quick links on the main screen:

If a user wants to check out deals in an area they currently aren't in, they can manually check them out by entering and address, or zip code:

After a user has created an account, their profile allows them to set defaults -- refining the deals they see to those that they are most interested in:

The page also shows the user any specific merchants that they might be blocking:

When a user decides to enter a deal, the system helps them by bringing up businesses that are currently located near them:

The user can scroll through the list, or search for the specific business:

The user can then quickly and easily enter the deal info so that other users can know about it as well:

To make it even easier to enter deals, the system allows for deals that repeat -- like a daily or weekly special:

Business owners can also enter deals for their own businesses. On our website, they can easily create one or more locations for their business:

Then after entering the deal details, can select which specific locations to apply the deal to:

Merchants then have a dashboard to see their deals:

This is just a small sample of how the the system operates! Try it out for yourself by clicking a menu link at the top of this page!

(You can use location '94070' to see some examples already in the system.)
